Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s Jewelry Splurge: The Details
September 29, 2008
I reported earlier that Justin stopped by a small hole in the wall boutique in Rome to purchase some jewelry, a ring and bracelet for Jessica. He did, in fact, purchase those things, but he bought Jessica along, and they actually went on a little jewelry shopping spree. This jewelry buy out occurred the night Justin and Jessica were snapped getting lovey dovey in an alley way. Read more of what really happened below:
Musician Justin Timberlake and actress Jessica Biel continue their Roman voyage on Friday by indulging in jewelry shopping.
A source told PEOPLE magazine that the couple was spotted buying a diamond bracelet and ring from the 1970s.
The couple spent an hour at the unmarked shop on a cobblestone road near Via Condotti, one of the nicest shopping areas in Rome.
The shop was no larger than two phone booths, and specializes in jewelry from the 1950s to the 1970s. There is not a lot of jewelry on display, with a bulk of their merchandise stored in a safe.
Timberlake and Biel went to the shop based on a recommendation and upon their arrival Biel asked the owner to open the safe. She tried on almost every piece of jewelry.
Biel found a 17th century necklace of particular interest. As she tried on the jewelry Timberlake serenaded around her singing a song from the soundtrack of “Easy Virtue,” her upcoming period film.
“I could tell they had very refined taste because they asked about the history of all the jewelry,” said shop owner Nicola Boncompagni.
Biel did not wear her new jewelry immediately and had it delivered to their hotel.
