Justin Timberlake, Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs and Anna WIntour are slated to host the 2009 Costume Gala in New York, another one of fashion’s most important nights. After debuting his new 2009 William Rast Collection, I’d say JT is fast becoming a respected Fashion icon.
Next year’s event, set to take place in spring 2009, is particularly appropriate for Moss, as it will celebrate a new exhibition, ‘The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion.’
Exploring the relationship between fashion and beauty, the exhibition will focus on iconic models of the 20th century, including Naomi Campbell, Gisele, Jerry Hall, Cindy Crawford, and of course, Moss herself.
Speaking to WWD, Jacobs explained the concept: ‘The idea of muses or models, whether it is someone you know or someone you have seen in an image, someone of your imagination or a creature of your own invention, is important to every designer and every collection,’ he explained.
Justin has just agreed to an endorsement deal with Calloway Golf. Honestly, I know nothing about golf. You can say Justin has a handicap of six, and that would be the same as saying something in German to me. Complete gibberish . . . But word on the course is that they’re a pretty big deal. Read a bit more about it below:
Pop star Justin Timberlake agreed to endorse equipment from Callaway Golf Co., it said Wednesday.
“Golf has become an increasingly important part of my life and this new partnership with Callaway allows me to take my game to the next level,” Timberlake, who is 27, said in a statement from the company.
The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Timberlake will use the company’s clubs, balls and bag when he plays in the PGA Tour’s Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
Timberlake has announced separately that he plans to open a course in Memphis, Tenn., next summer and rename it Mirimichi Lakes.
In the continous effort for Hollywood and its stars to persuade the youth demographic to vote on November 4th, Steven Spielberg has directed and released a slew of PSA ads urging youngsters not to vote in hopes that this basic form of reverse psychology will have a lasting effect. JT, having recently made political news with his endorsement of Barack Obama, has joined the long list of famous celebs in the latest PSA ad which also features cameos from Scarlett Johansson, Will Smith, Tom Cruise, and ex-girlfriend Camerin Diaz. Check it out below.
Well, not really, but a new demo track has been making its rounds on the internet. Justin sings the song, but it seems to be intended for a female artist, which goes along nicely with Justin’s claim that he won’t be putting out any music anytime soon with his namesake on it, but that he has been helping other artists with their careers. The track was produced by a famous Norwegian duo who call themselves Stargate, and you can listen to a snippet of it by clicking on the thumbnail below.
I’ve added a few more photos of Justin on the set of Rihanna’s forthcoming video for Rehab.Entertainment Tonight also did a short news clip on the pair which you can watch [HERE]. When I came across the photos below, I really didn’t know what to think . . . . a rocket, a pinball machine and a guitar . . . Justin still looks incredibly hot though.
People posted some photos from behind the scenes of Justin’s week long gig in Las Vegas which I uploaded to the gallery. Apparently he and the stars of his benefit concert had a bowling party on October 14th (haha, so nerdy). There’s also a photo of him and the Jonas Brothers as well as Will.I.Am and fellow former NSYNCer Chris Kirkpatrick.
I might need to go to rehab, because I might be addicted to these photos. I’ve been waiting for Justin to come back into the limelight as a sex object (haha, I know it’s so wrong), because girls like to stare at some skin every now and then as well. This will be the first video I’ve seen in awhile where there is a major male star as the love interest, and we can we say, “Hot!” Click on the thumbnails below to see more of Justin’s role in Rihanna’s upcoming video for her next single, Rehab.
I love this song! Thanks to RYJ and RihannaDaily, I’ve added some photos of Justin on the set of Rihanna’s new music video for Rehab, filmed yesterday in LA. Justin penned the song for Rihanna’s last album release, Good Girl Gone Bad. He got rid of that beard quick, and is sporting a hot new haircut. Sexy! I wonder if I can get my boyfriend to cut his hair like this . . . Click the thumbnail below to view the gallery.
It’s only been a few days after Justin’s Shriner’s Open Tour, and it seems he’s left a good taste in peoples’ mouths – more specifically on the tongues of the golf elite. Forget what you know about Justin as an artist, actor or ex-NSYNCer, golf columnist John Hawkins says JT’s star power is a star plus for the future of the golfing world.
With a little imagination and a chuckle or two, it’s easy to envision Justin Timberlake becoming one of golf’s greatest assets. Unlike other celebrities who use the game to further their personal causes, or Bill Murray, whose schtick quickly went from funny to old to malodorous, Timberlake is a good player with honest intentions. He likes it. He gets it. In 2008, he proved it.
By assuming title sponsorship of the PGA Tour stop in Las Vegas, Timberlake basically saved an event plagued throughout its existence by a lack of corporate support. His debut as tournament host last week barely registered in the mainstream-sports universe, but then, even hardcore golf fans are excused from caring about the tour’s Fall Series, the FedEx Cup era’s version of a Silly Season Without Stars.
Still, this was a marked improvement over recent gatherings in Vegas. Timberlake wisely ditched the three-course rotation that made this tournament so needlessly complicated — it wasn’t like the venues were within a 7-iron of each other — and centralized everything at TPC Summerlin. Formerly a 72-hole pro-am, J.T. removed the chopper factor from the competitive arena, saying, “Phil [Mickelson] isn’t going to come up (onstage) and try to do karaoke while I’m doing my show.”
During his Shriner’s Hospital For Children tournament, Justin got a chance to visit some troops in Las Vegas during their celebration of Las Vegas’ Military Appreciation Day. Thanks to Jodie Platz, I’ve uploaded some photos of him wearing the military jacket they gave him. Please do not use these photos without crediting both Jodie and JT 4 Breakfast! Jodie says they also let JT play in the tank, haha. I would hate for him to join the military, but if he could just wear the uniform around, I’d be ok with that cause he looks freakin’ hot.
